The group’s system competence results from the merger of the three strong brands Kolbenschmidt, Pierburg and Motorservice.
The brand Kolbenschmidt comprises the business units Bearings, Castings, Large and Small Bore Pistons where the focus is on minimizing the weight of engines and lifetime durability while assuring higher performance requirements. The competence subsumes car and commercial vehicle pistons, large-bore pistons, engine blocks, cylinder heads and structural parts. Likewise included in the product portfolio are other cast products, plain bearings, and continuous castings.
The brand Pierburg is specialized in modules and assemblies for fuel-consumption reduction, solenoid valves, actuators and valve trains as well as oil, water and vacuum pumps for cars, trucks, and off-road vehicles. Pierburg is concerned with reducing consumption and emissions as well as enhancing performance and saving weight.
The brand Motorservice is responsible for the global aftermarket of the KSPG brands Kolbenschmidt and Pierburg as well as TRW engine components and other products.
