Objective of job
The BEV project house is part of the department Platform Management in the field of RD & P and supports the MBC China Board.
As Daimler steadily increases its localized production vehicle line-up in China, DGRC is faced with the exponentially growing complexity of managing multiple vehicle platforms from business case approval through development into production within a joint venture structure. Newly implemented BEV Project House is responsible for steering the MBC activities China for the fields of development, operations and sales for battery electric vehicles.
Therefore we lead the appropriate top management committees to get an alignment with all relevant partners.
Graduated/certified engineer Economics, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, technical orientated business administration or similar
Fluent english skills, German language skills is a plus
With minimum 3 - 5 years work experience at OEMs, experienced with Daimler or Daimler JV is a plus

Strategic thinking skills; able to identify key points, plan and organize complex analyses in a structured way. Derivation strategic directions and prepare for decision making
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, good sense of figures
Strong initiative and self-motivation to align cross-department efforts, strong self-assertion and implementation skills
Strong presentation skills, able to present results in a professional and high management format
• Analysis of the complex and fast-changing China NEV industry development, identifying key trends and implications. Investigate and manage information sources for business and market intelligence to facilitate Daimler xEV business plan and propose the business model and carry out the plan as per executive decision together with team
• Driving cross-functional communication and alignment and assistant to prepare internal and external stakeholder presentations, reports, and decision proposals
• Track overall xEV market, business development and operating performance of competitors (traditional and newly emerging competitors); Strategic evaluation of their strengths & weaknesses, actions, and associated implications for Daimler in regular basis
•Create networks to capture competition info on a regular basis with outside vendors and analysts contributing to the industry market data & insights gathering
