What you can expect:

•Develop technical solutions using existing and new technologies, methods etc.

•Transform the project objectives into work plans for lab team, analyze & interpret experimental results 

•Develop new methods and procedures for formulation, testing or analysis within the lab team

•Constantly discuss and align research activities with other project parties (sales, marketing, production, development etc.) 

•Closely monitor and achieve project milestones, track timelines and budget constraints

•Present and document results, file patents

•Implement and ensure compliance with BASF standards regarding EHS in the lab team activities.

•Organize and supervise roles, responsibilities and work routines within the lab team

•Instruct and coach the lab team members; Develop, motivate, inspire lab team members 

•Continuously observe, analyze and assess scientific and technical trends in products, processes, applications and industries

•Closely follow and evaluate scientific literature, publications and IP and draw conclusions for BASF •Develop ideas for new research projects & topics and discuss them within the relevant research and business community

What we expect:

•PhD degree or Master degree with several years of work experience with focus on Physical Chemistry or Chemical Engineering

•Technical background and work experience in Robotics, Automation or Informatics for data management

•Excellent communication skills with advanced English language capability

•Comfortable working in an international and interdisciplinary team, and keen on expanding your area of expertise

•Previous research experience abroad is an asset
