The candidate will assume a key leadership role within the newly established TruConnect Solutions organisation, being responsible for all customer-project related activities under the TruConnect brand (Smart Factory Solutions). The scope of the position includes the full project life-cycle from active lead generation, customer enquiry, system configuration, project management up to successful system hand-over and involves the leadership of two teams:

1) TruConnect Sales

-    Technical sales project managers focusing on support for automated production systems, i.e. system design and negotations during pre-sales phase (machines + logistics solutions + software)

-    Smart Factory Consultants, i.e. process analysis, lean / IoT consulting and implementation support for the customer teams

2) Technical project management for post-sales implementation of smart factory projects


Major organisation development tasks include:

*  Build up professional project management processes and tools along the project life-cycle to guarantee smooth sales operations and professional project implementation

*  Establish the TruConnect consulting team as well as standard consulting approaches and tools for the Chinese market

*  Further develop the sales funnel management, consistently develop leads and opportunities

* Support the TruConnect global management team in the further strategic development of TRUMPF´s Smart Factory offering in China

2.Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Academic Background:

Diplom/Master degree from International or top Chinese University, MBA would be a plus

2. Which major preferred:

Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Business Management

3. Working experience:

5-10 years of working experience with management of system projects, management/lean/ERP consulting, production management or similar, proven leadership track record in international organizations. Experience in Industry 4.0/Smart Manufacturing is a strong plus

4. Knowledge and skills:

- Deep understanding about professional project management for system projects

- Strong motivation to drive the development of the organization towards exceptional customer service and high commercial success

- Experience with production management, technology (hardware/software) and processes

- Ability to balance between a strong sales sense, customer orientation and sound judgement to limit implementation risks when negotiating projects

- Strong analytical skills and structured problem solving

- Attention to detail and experience with the standardization of processes

- Exceptional oral and written communication skills

- High level of leadership / influencing skills towards senior customer representatives, HQ teams, and local sales/service/R&D organizations

5. Language:

Chinese and German on a native or next-to-native level, fluent English
