Product Strategy and Digital Program Management
Objectives of the Position
•Platform Management is a pivotal organization within DGRC responsible for steering of MBC activities in China within the fields of Development, Operations and Sales. From new product strategy to localization project management, Platform Management is responsible for product-related cross-functional coordination in China as well as for managing the interface with product groups in Germany.
•The team of ‘Product Strategy& Digital Program Management’ is an integral part of Platform Management, covering topics and functions such as product/production strategy, digital and other cross functional topics. Our role is essential in ensuring close collaboration of worldwide functional teams and smooth execution of both global and local initiatives. In this central role, we directly influence the future product lineup of MB passenger cars.
•University Degree in Industrial/Automotive Engineering and Mgmt, Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent.
•3-5 years working experience in an international environment with automotive, IT or Strategy/Consulting background; fluent in English speaking and writing.
•Prior experience and knowledge in the IT industry is a plus.
•Excellent knowledge of project management and strategic planning in the field of digitalization.
•Integrative character with excellent analytical, communication and networking skills.
•Experienced in creating thoughtful and provoking presentations that fits to the overall target and strategy.
•Motivated by working on new things and have fun at work, willing to go the extra mile.
•Passionate about the car industry and wants to make change happen.
•Chinese and German language are of advantage.
•Lead cross-functional project management and product strategy across different functional departments and business units in China and Germany, depending on the project topic.
•Create transparency concerning premises and ensuring cross-functional alignment of the latest PoR status of projects (e.g. within the Business Case process). As well, make potential tradeoffs transparent and develop joint solutions with stakeholders.
•Elaborate processes, methods and standards to integrate China requirements into the overall DAI strategy process, together with the respective departments. Operationalize strategic decisions during the strategy process into concrete measurements.
•Prepare related topics for working platforms and decision papers for management comittees in China and Germany.
•Be a part of the team culture that constantly looks for innovation and improvements, in regards to product strategy, vehicle concepts, working processes and cross-functional cooperation.
