Objective of job

• Method and algorithm development and validation for AD perception & fusion technologies

• AD software development, integration and validation

• Definition of China specific requirements for autonomous driving

• Communication with HQ counterparts to align on methods, process, etc.



• Education

- Master in computer science, robotics, or a related field

• Experience

- 1-2 years of Industrial experience in automotive field, or robotics

- Strong practical knowledge of software engineering and object-oriented software development

• Specific Knowledge

- Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills, German language beneficial

- Strong skill in C++ programming and scripting languages (Python among others) with large software system development experience

- Good knowledge and practical experience in machine learning / deep learning technologies and algorithms

- Strong knowledge in 2D/3D perception technology eg. Computer vision, point cloud processing, and object tracking

- Good knowledge in AD sensor technology (camera, radar, Lidar, etc.) and tracking/fusion theory (Kalman, IMM, PDAF, MHT, etc.)

- Experience in performance optimizations, writing efficient implementations, and software debugging

- Inter-cultural competence and communication skills with various hierarchy levels

- Independent and proactive working style, willingness to travel inside China and abroad to conduct system testing


Task description

• Perception/fusion algorithm development and validation

- Develop and optimize perception and fusion algorithms to fulfill universal/China scenarios

- Develop novel data collection, preprocessing and annotation methods & tools for extended perception /fusion development

- Keep up with latest trends and technologies to fulfill future research subjects and identify development needs

• Develop perception / fusion verification and validation method

- Define China’s specific requirement for perception/fusion solution from both sensor setup and algorithm perspective

- Design systematical and scientifically method for perception/fusion algorithm evaluation

- Contact with different component owners for failure analysis and optimization

• Cooperate to build up China AD team

- Actively support to build-up and improve team processes

- Understand and support the development of the RD China strategy
