The product portfolio includes valves and complete mechatronic solutions for hydraulic and pneumatic applications. RAPA employs almost 1,000 people at its sites in Germany, the United States and China.


In terms of internationalization, RAPA expands to China and the RAPA Central plant in China will be built. The application engineer will technically support the market entry and be the link between customers and internal departments in China and Germany. The job will be trained in Selb (Germany) for at least 6 months and then based in Changzhou (China).


Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

> Coordination & Application for valve system of active suspension system (air suspension and active damper) by automobile industry in China-Marketing.

> Interfaces with customers in China to understand the specifications and requirements for supporting the specialist departments in Germany of the further new product development.

> Research and analysis of benchmark, especially for the new “game-players” in China

> Planning, evaluation and documentation of product testing and qualification; validation of system design and supervision of system tests

> Responsible for notifying customers of technical changes and getting customer approval information.

> Pre-project confirmation of prototype status based on customer requirements and vehicle application matching.

> Assist quality engineers to analyze after-sales issues in conjunction with vehicle application matching.

Your Skills and Experiences

> Master‘s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering), elite university background or German university degree preferred

> Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of application engineering, experience in active suspension systems is a huge plus

> Experience in Germany through study, training or working mandatory >Strong analytical and problem solving skills

> Ability to function in a fast-paced, team oriented environment and handle multiple projects and assignments with proficiency

> Chinese at native speaker level, business fluent in English, German language skills is a plus

> Good skills in Microsoft Office, especially MS project
